The last novelties in the design and implementation of fire detection and fire extinguishing systems were presented by Synchron-S and Siemens Building Technologies Bulgaria during specialized seminars, organized by the Chamber of Engineers in the Investment Design /KIIP/. In the midle of June in the towns of Pleven, Varna and Bourgas, the two companies presented specialized solutions, product and technological innovations, regulatory requirements and current standards. The events attracted the interest of specialists and designers from around the country.
In his lecture, Mr. Stoychev, Manager of SYNCHRON-S, presented the company's activity in the field of firefighting systems design and installation and covered all aspects of fire protection. Standard and specific fire alarm solutions, various fire detection technologies, methods and special early fire detection detectors were presented. The main features and specific applications of various fire extinguishing methods - inert gases and chemical gases FM 200 and Novec 1230, sprinkler systems, water mist and foam systems, were thoroughly analyzed making an interesting comparison in terms of efficiency, economy and choice of optimal solution for a particular site.
During the presentation Mr. Stoychev also paid a special attention to the specific requirements of modern fire safety design projects related to firefighting automation, preparation of fire scenario in case of fire, fan tests of rooms, ect., the implementation of which would lead to high technical and financial efficiency of installations. All of this was supported by information on current European standards and national regulations in the field of fire protection systems. Interesting examples of the longstanding practice of Synchron-S, illustrated with graphics and video, complemented the complex and specific engineering practice in the field of automated fire protection solutions.
Siemens's equipment and technology, applied by Synchron-S in most of their projects, were presented by Mr. Krastev, security and fire safety systems engineer at Siemens. During the lecture, the Cerberus PRO and Cerberus FIT fire detection systems, Sinorix gas fire extinguishing systems, fire protection automation solutions as well as the Cerberus DMS security and safety systems integration platform, were presented. Demonstration of the extinguishing capabilities of Novec 1320 - a new, completely harmless and extremely effective gas extinguishing agent, provoked the interest of the present. Automated software products for design and specification of fire detection and fire extinguishing systems, used to facilitate design processes, were also presented.
The seminars enjoyed a great interest on part of the present who actively participated by asking questions and commenting both during the presentations and during cocktails at the end of the seminar.
