SYNCHRON-S participated in the architectural festival "Sofia - European capital city" with the lecture "Fire protection of high-rise buildings - advanced methods for detection and suppression of fire".
SYNCHRON-S took part in the architecture festival "Sofia - European capital city", which was held from 2 to 12 October 2017. The event was organized by the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria with the assistance of the Union of Architects in Bulgaria and Sofia Municipality.
Nikolay Stoychev, manager of SYNCHRON-S, was a lecturer in the thematic panel "Vision for Sofia. City Planning of Sofia" during the festival. On the 6th of October at the Central House of Architects Mr. Stoychev introduced to architects and designers the specific fire safety issues in the high-rise buildings and the associated risk of fire.
With a lecture titled "Fire protection of high-rise buildings - advanced methods for detection and suppression of fire" Mr. Stoychev presented the main strategies and methods for ensuring fire safety in tall buildings and how they relate to the design of the building and the safety of the occupants. Mr. Stoychev explained the extremely important role of specialized engineering solutions for fire detection and fire extinguishing, based on reliable fire safety technology and equipment. The attendees learned about modern methods of early fire detection, which are the most effective fire detection solutions in high-rise buildings, and why customized technical solutions are critical for reducing the risk and the consequences of a fire. Mr. Stoychev also presented a new approach for active fire protection based on a new technology and a new economical and effective way of extinguishing that provides completely secure and safe environment for people and property, and for the building itself.
In conclusion, Mr. Stoychev summarized the need for a holistic approach to fire protection of high-rise buildings and development of fire scenario between all installations in the building.
