The Bulgarian company COMICON has been honoured with award "Production with European quality" for its "System for wireless data acquisition from remote objects in non-electricity areas".
The prize has awarded by authoritative organization "Bulgarian Energy Forum" in the frame of the specialized exhibition Expo Energetics (31.05 - 03.06.2005).
The system for wireless data acquisition from remote objects in non-electricity areas consists of equipment for the remote objects, equipment for the central control point and software. In each remote object works a specialized programmable logic controller (PLC) with low energy consumption, "sleep mode" and function "data logger". It collects and keeps the data for the monitored object and data about the controlling devices, guarding alarms, exploitation and alarm events. The accumulated data are transmitted by radio modem to the central control point. The PLC also controls accumulator batteries and solar panel. A remote change of the schedules for measurement and communication and firmware of the controller is possible.
