ZigBee connector for RS485 segments - Z 485


Z485 consists of radio modem and RS485 converter. Z485 easy and fast connects RS485 segments without need of cables.

Improved reliability due to use of ZigBee protocol, as it secures data transmission by repeatings and confirmation by receiver side. The connection between the segment is fully transparent, the maximum data rate over interface RS485 is 115.2 kbps and over radio interface - 250 Kbps. Connection of two devices Z485 doesn’t require they to be positioned in the area of their line-of-sight radio range. The data exchange between them is provided by re-transfer via other ZigBee devices.

Z485 is developed in 2 variants.

• Z485 – 1:
* Radio module transmit power: 60 mW (18 dBm)
* Indoor range (Urban): до 100 m
* Range at line-of-sight: up to 1.6 km
* Receiver sensitivity: -100 dBm

• Z485 – 2:
* Radio module transmit power:: 1mW (0 dBm)
* Indoor range (Urban): до 30 m
* Range at line-of-sight: up to до 100 m
* Receiver sensitivity: -92 dBm

• Power supply: 220 VAC
• Working ambient temperature: -20 to 60° C
• Dimensions: 160x85x55 (without cable glades).
