Sprinkler fire extinguishing systems
Fire extinguishing system with WATER
High reliability and safety for people: An automatic sprinkler system reacts immediately in the initial stage of the fire. It is designed to protect the structure and the occupants from a fire. The residential sprinkler system suppresses a fire in such a way to allow for the safe escape of the building occupants.
Easy operation: A wet pipe sprinkler system is fixed fire protection using piping filled with pressurized water. The systems rely on a water supply in the protected building, providing adequate pressure and flow rate to a water distribution piping system, onto which fire sprinklers are connected. Closed heat sensitive automatic sprinklers, spaced and located in accordance with recognized installation standards are used to detect a fire. When one or more of the automatic sprinklers is exposed to sufficient heat, it operates, allowing water to flow from the sprinkler and distribute the water over a specific area to control or extinguish the fire. Before installing of the sprinkler system it is essential to analyzed the building use and building contents to determine the level of fire hazard with Compliance with EN 12845.
To achieve the necessary design parameters it is essential to select proper sprinklers. The system offers full range of sprinklers according to their fast operation, mounting characteristics and orifices.
Applications: A wet pipe sprinkler system may be installed in any structure not subject to freezing to automatically protect the structure, contents, and/or personnel from loss due to fire: offices, residential and administrative buildings, trade centers, industrial complexes, hotels, etc. Unheated areas of a building may be protected by a system if an antifreeze-loop or dry system is installed. Dry pipe system is used in spaces where the ambient temperature may be cold enough to freeze the water in a wet pipe system. Water is not present in the piping until the system operates. The piping is pressurized with air. When one or more of the automatic sprinklers is exposed to sufficient heat, it operates, allowing the air to vent from the sprinkler. As the air pressure in the piping drops, the pressure differential across the dry pipevalve changes, allowing water to enter the piping system. By reason of water flow is delayed until the air is vented from the sprinklers, dry pipe system is not as effective as wet pipe system in the fire control during the initial stage of the fire.
Fire extinguishing system with FOAM
Efficient extinguishing for special hazard areas: Many production plants and facilities contain fire hazards that standard automatic sprinklers systems cannot control or extinguish. These are termed “Special Hazards”. A special hazard is classified as an area, process or piece of equipment contained within a facility where conventional methods of fire protection cannot offer adequate safety. Foam extinguishing system meets the needs of this particular facilities.
Firefighting mechanism: Foam solution extinguish fire by several effects. Unlike water, foam is less dense than the burning liquid or combustible material; therefore it floats and creates a continuous foam layer. This foam layer prevents air (oxygen) from reaching the liquid and smothers the fire ensures that no vapors are able to escape. Due to the high water content in the foam, the fuel surface rapidly begins to cool resulting in a less volatile situation. Fluorine terminates the combustion chain reaction thus preventing any potential for further combustion.
Applications: Foam system provides a fast and efficient extinguishment mainly for class B fires in special hazard zones: warehouses, tanks, rafinerys, chemical plants, etc.
Fire extinguishing system with WATER MIST
Minimal water damage: One of the most outstanding factors is the small amount of water used. Water mist system extinquishes fire by the force of the water. The system operates at pressures of 80 to 200 bar, producing droplets of very small diameter at very high velocity. Spray heads are designed to discharge water in the form of water mist. Thus the system optimizes the quantity of water used, maximizing effective water volume.
Fast and efficient for class A, B and C fires: Water mist system provides a fast and efficient extinguishment for class A, B and C fires, eliminating the hazard of re-ignition. Water mist extinguishes fire by 3 main effects: smothering – vapour generated displaces an equivalent of oxygen volume, producing smothering effect; cooling – water spray in droplets produces a large heat collector surface; attenuation – mist absorbs a great amount of radiant heat, thus protecting adjacent objects. The system offers several models of spray heads, depending on the hazard protected.
Safe for protection of equipment and occupied areas: The option to use water mist systems as an alternative has increased to cover such area as data processing centers, archives, subways, escalators and transport.
Independent system or pumping equipment: The pumping water mist system is an alternative for the water mist centralized system when the quantity of water required for the protection of the installation does not allow the use of them.
